Abe Hatch (LPC, LMHC)
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Oregon, also licensed in Washington as an LMHC, and originally trained and registered as a Psychologist in Australia. I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship strain, and big life transitions. I bring a steady, thoughtful presence to therapy, along with evidence-based approaches that help people find real relief and lasting change.
I started my clinical career in infant and toddler mental health, working closely with parents adjusting to the intensity of early parenthood, postpartum challenges, anxiety, identity shifts, and the tender chaos of having a newborn. Before moving to Oregon, I worked in an inpatient hospital in Western Australia, supporting families in crisis. That work eventually led me to focus on very young children who had experienced trauma and were showing signs of deep relational stress; behavioral struggles, attachment issues, and emotional overwhelm.
All of that shaped the way I now see people and healing: through a deeply relational lens. I believe that so many of our struggles, whether they show up as anxiety, anger, shutdown, or disconnection - have roots in relationships, both past and present. I’ve come to care deeply about what helps people feel safe, connected, and truly seen. Everything is relational. I work from that framework.
These days, I specialize in emotionally focused work with individuals and couples. I love working with partners to untangle painful cycles and build security together. But I also care deeply about individual therapy—and I’m passionate about offering a space where people can be real, feel safe, and begin to heal.
On the personal side: I’m married and a proud dad to three beautiful kids. I grew up in Western Australia. I’ve played drums most of my life, make a proper flat white (when I can find good beans), and understand some of the real pain and pressure that life can throw your way.
If you're looking for a therapist who’s real, grounded, and committed to helping you move toward healing, I’d be honored to work with you.
